Galle Fort

Galle Fort is situated on the south east coast of Sri Lanka. In 1588 the Portugese began constructing Galle Fort and was completed by the Dutch in the mid 1600s. Galle Fort remains in excellent condition thanks to continuous repair work by the Sri Lanka government. Tourists flock to Galle Fort every year.
